Our Team

Our team consists of over 100 members who daily dedicate their time and energy to furthering the mission and vision of Pharmagen Healthcare Limited. Amongst this team includes the following members of management, while our Board of Directors also plays an integral role.

Parvez Hussain Sufi, CEO
Parvez Hussain Sufi
Mr. Parvez Sufi is a Chartered Accountant from UK and since 1990 has been instrumental in developing the Pharmagen Group into a leading pharmaceutical organisation in Pakistan. He is the CEO both of Pharmagen Ltd. since 1992, which is a major API producer, and Pharmagen Healthcare Ltd. since its inception.

He is also Chairman of the M.H. Sufi Foundation an educational charitable organisation providing quality education by establishing a network of schools in rural areas. He has previously worked as a professional chartered accountant for various leading accountancy firms.

Pharmagen Healthcare was initiated by him to serve the underprivileged and needy communities in town and cities of Pakistan in terms of meeting their healthcare needs.

 

Mr. Bilal Hussain Khan, COO

Mr Khan is the Chief Operation Officer of the company. He is a business graduate and a seasoned professional with background in Marketing & Finance. He has previously worked at Shell Pakistan Limited in areas of Franchise Management, Retail Sales, Portfolio Management & Acquisitions. Prior to that; he has remained in government servise on various diverse management assignments with departments like WAPDA and CBR. He is working with Pharmagen Healthcare Limited Since October 2012

 

Mr. Assad Nawaz Gondal, Head of Marketing & Communication

Mr. Gondal is a marketing professional with background and experience in management consultation; pharmaceutical marketing, crop protection marketing and services marketing. In the past, he has worked with Bayer CropScience Pakistan and Highnoon Laboratories Limited in various capacities. He has also been associated with IBA Karachi as visiting faculty.He is currently heading the Marketing and Communication functions at PHL.

 

Mr. Zulfiqar Ali, Head of Retail & Home Delivery Sales

Mr. Zulfiqar is an experienced sales professional with a career spanning over a decade and a half. He has held various positions in the FMCG sales, distribution, franchise management and sales infrastructure development functions. He has previously worked with Agro Processors, ATM Gases, Ufone Limited, Engro Foods Limited and Haleeb Foods Limited. He is currently the Head of Retail & Home Delivery Sales at Pharmagen Healthcare Limited.

 

Azeem Shaukat Hashmi, Head of Technical & Commercial Sales

Mr. Hashmi is an MBA with almost 10 years of experience in the water industry. He has managed various projects in the water industry throughout his tenure. Previously he has worked for Atlantis Water and Oxigyzer Water.  He is currently heading the Technical and Commercial Sales functions at PHL. He also takes keen interest in various social projects; Pakistan Innovation Water for 30,000 and Engro Foundation to name a few.

 

Mr. Muhammad Ali, Head of Accounts & Finance

Mr. Ali is a Chartered Accountant and a Law graduate. He heads the Accounts & Finance department at PHL. He has previously worked for Hyder Bhimji & Co Chartered Accountants and has experience in Corporate Taxation & Audit.

Maj Gen. (Retd) Muhammad Rahim

General Rahim is a graduate of Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, Command and Staff College Quetta and National Defence College Islamabad. He has held various command and staff appointments during his illustrious military career. He has also served as the Seceratry General Defence to the Government of Pakistan, Chairman of Pakistan International Airlines and Director at Al-shifa Hospital Trust.

In addition to being a board member of Pharmagen Healthcare Limited; he is the Chairman of the Board of Pharmagen Limited and a Director of M. H. Sufi Foundation.

 

Mr. Shiekh Noor Ullah, Board Member

Mr. Noorullah is a board member appointed by Acumen Fund; where he works as the Portfolio Manager Pakistan. Before joining Acumen Fund, Noor Ullah served as a consultant for the World Bank, where he studied the socio-economic impact of environmental degradation in the province of Punjab. Previously, he worked as a business development consultant for a number of multinationals and private enterprises. He handled projects involving feasibility studies and financial projection analyses. He also worked as Manager Business Development and Manager Projects at Microtech Industries, an engineering and telecom company. Prior to that, he had worked as a Research Analyst with Dr. Salman Shah (Pakistan’s Finance Minister) on a number of research papers for PILDAT (Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency). He holds a Bachelor degree with Honors, in Economics and Computer Sciences from Lahore University of Management.

 

Ms. Yusra Gilani, Board Member

In addition to being a board member of Pharmagen Healthcare Limited, Ms. Gilani is also the Legal Counsel for Acumen Fund Pakistan. Prior to joining Acumen Fund in October 2007, she worked as a Senior Associate with Mandviwalla & Zafar, a corporate and financial services law firm, where she represented various banks and public and private sector companies on diverse deals. Her work there included setting up and licensing various banks and Islamic banks, and undertaking mergers and acquisitions of banks and financial companies. She holds a BA from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, a CPE from BPP Law School, a BVC from Inns Court School of Law. Yusra is a Barrister at Law and a member of the Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn, as well as an Advocate and a member of the Sindh Bar Council in Pakistan.
